Looking at this month’s music, the one thing the tracks have in common is that they’re a bit more complicated than necessary. If that doesn’t sound very inviting, maybe it could appeal to the Italian taste for Baroque or Rococo, and it’s certainly a feature of the psychedelic. This is indeed programme 50, but Mr Henwood appears oblivious to that: this may be through his charming insouicance about the passing of time, or maybe he just has no idea what day it is. Guardando la musica di questo mese, l’unica cosa che i brani hanno in comune è che sono un po’ di più complicato del necessario. Se questo non sembra molto invitante, forse potrebbe piacere al gusto italiano per il barocco o il rococò, ed è certamente una caratteristica della psichedelia. Questo è infatti il programma 50, ma il signor Henwood sembra ignaro di ciò: potrebbe essere dovuto alla suo incuranza del tempo che passa, o forse semplicemente non ha idea di che giorno sia.
