OUTERNATIONAL ARTISTS n°27 by 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘯𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘥, on air for the 1st time on Sunday, March 5th at 8 PM

Outernational Artists 27 explores paths to cult status. Judy Dyble – leaving two epoch-making bands before they achieve anything significant; Tom Verlaine – hailed as genius with 1st LP; diminishing returns thereafter; Neu! – exploding band chemistry syndrome. This litany is a little balanced out by the 40 year history of Jefferson Airplane etc. (we stick to the 1960s which were relatively uncomplicated). And then there’s David Crosby, who had it all and blew it the most dramatically of all, tho’ he survived far longer than many predicted…

Outernational Artists 27 esplora i percorsi che si proiettano verso lo status di culto. Judy Dyble – lascia due band epocali prima che raggiungano qualcosa di significativo; Tom Verlaine – acclamato come un genio con il primo LP; rendimenti decrescenti in seguito; Neu! – sindrome chimica della band esplosiva. Questa litania è un po’ bilanciata dai 40 anni di storia dei Jefferson Airplane e di altri (ci atteniamo agli anni ’60 che erano relativamente semplici). E poi c’è David Crosby, che ha avuto tutto e l’ha fatto saltare nel modo più drammatico di tutti, anche se è sopravvissuto molto più a lungo di quanto molti avevano previsto…
